How the Plurals are formed ?
1. The plural of noun is generally formed by adding -s to the singular
pens
2. But nouns ending in -s,-sh,-ch (soft), or -x from the plural by adding -es to the singular
bus-buses fish-fishes bench-benches box-boxes
3. Nouns ending in -y, preceded by a consonant, form their plural by changing -y into -i and adding -es
baby-babies story-stories
4. Most noun ending in -o also form the plural by adding -es to the singular
mango-mangoes echo-echoes hero-heroes
