Intonation

Intonation is the word for the 'melody' of spoken language : the way the musical pitch of the voice rises and falls. Intonation systems in languages are very complicated and difficult to analyze. and linguists disagree about how english intonation works.

One was in which Intonation seems to be used is to snow how apiece of information fits in with what comes before and after . For instance, a speaker may raise his or her voice when taking over the conversation from-somebody else, or to indicate a change of subject. A rise or fall on a particular word may show that this is the 'centre' of the message  -the place where the new information is being given; or it may signal a contrast or  a special emphasis. When a speaker ends-on a falling tone, this often expresses some kind of conclusion or certainty: a rising tone at the end of a sentence may express uncertainty , suggest that there is more to be said, or invite another speaker to take over.

Intonation (together with speed, voice quality and loudness) can also say things about the speaker's attitude. For instance, when people are excited or angry they often raise and lower their voices more.

Paragraph Writing

Essays and other prose compositions are divided into paragraphs. A paragraph is usually a group of related sentences that develop a single point. While writing an essay, the topic can be divided into various points and each point can be developed into a separate paragraph.

But we can write a paragraph about a particular topic.for example, you can write a paragraph about your school or about your town. A paragraph it can long or short.There is no rule about the length of paragraph. Sometimes a paragraph may consist of a single sentence.It may consist of ten or twelve sentences or may be very long having thirty or forty sentences.

Letter Writing

Letter writing   is an art. Many of us find difficult in writing letters in correct manners.also there is a confusion in the  method of writing. In spite of their good motives, some letters failing in bringing that movies. Instead sometimes they make some mistakes.

So before starting writing a letter  it is better to follow the following suggestions.

1. Out line
2. Confirmation
3. Presentation
4. Editing

Out line:

First choose the outline of the letter that is whether it is official or personal or business letter etc.

Confirmation:

Confirm the matter you are going to present.

Presentation:

• The presentation must be logicwise.
• It must be simple.
• It must be precise.
• It must be easy to understand.

The standard may be increased according to the persons.

Editing:

After finishing the letter this part is essential.Here you to corrections,addition and deletions.These will make your letter powerful.

Sentence

Language is intended to communicate something, Since a language which is created by human being it has much similarity with the society where relationships are maintained through communications. hence the structure and the rules of a language have an immense similarity to the structure and the rules followed by society


How is a society formed ?

It is known that individuals from a family and the families from a society. let us adapt this basic idea into the basic formation of grammar.Then who is individual in grammar? is word. When words to join in a regulated way we get a family of words which can be a sentence.
